My name is Scott. I am originally from Missouri where I grew up with the greatest family in the world. I am number 7 of 12 kids. I love my family! I currently live in the Salt Lake City area where I have worked at a fantastic place for the last 4 years. After spending the last 3 years working directly with youth, I am now our Director of Online Education and Social Media. My job is to market the same amazing model we teach to our Foster Parents to the world and I love it! I love the outdoors and love to spend as much time as I can with people. These last few years I have had many great opportunities. I have been able to travel around the U.S. as well as try a few new things like skydiving, bungee jumping and multiple whitewater rafting trips. I love adventure! I have been dubbed as spontaneous! This fall I took my first trip to Europe! Loved it! The past two years I have also had the opportunity to be an EFY Counselor, where I have been able to help youth develop their testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the youth! I am very active in my faith and don't pretend to be someone or something that I am not. I love, love, love movies and am a frequent guest at the movie theater. I like movies that are well rounded and will make me laugh, cry, think and get angry. I am really good at getting to know people quickly. People often open up rather quickly to me. I am a very dedicated person. If I am passionate about something--get out of my way. I get things done. Something people notice very quickly about me is my bright blue eyes. Thank you Mom for the eyes! :) People also usually notice that I can get very passionate about the things that I believe in. I spend a lot of time thinking about how I can change the world. I am a teacher at heart. I have spent the last 5 years working with troubled youth and feel like there is a lot we can do to improve this world. Beside trying to save the world, I think about finding someone to share the rest of my life with.
On a typical Friday night I am usually out and about. I'm not a major party animal, but I enjoy getting together with friends or watching some thought provoking movie. Honestly, I'm more of a dinner and movie guy.
There are many qualities that I am looking in someone. On the top of that list is someone who can get passionate about whatever is going on in their life, be that their family, work politics, social issues, service, sports team, TV show etc. I like a person who is comfortable in themselves to have an opinion. Now I like those who have an opinion but aren't afraid to look at all sides. Another quality that is important to me is someone who uses humor to get through the good times and the bad times. I love a good laugh. I want to meet someone that is not afraid to try new things. Who is comfortable, or at least willing, to jump out of a plane or off a bridge. But then I want to meet someone who is just as comfortable with cuddling up next to the fireplace, sipping green apple Jones Soda while watching a movie.
